Intoxicación
Una Recomendación de No Hacer es una indicación de abandonar una práctica clínica de escaso valor. El escaso valor lo determina el hecho de que la práctica no reporte ningún beneficio conocido para los pacientes y/o les ponga en riesgo de sufrir daños y además pueda suponer un derroche de recursos, sanitarios y/o sociales.
Las Recomendaciones de NO Hacer incluidas en el Catálogo son las que cumplen todos estos criterios.

Se recomienda no administrar flumazenilo en pacientes con sospecha de intoxicación mixta, ingesta medicamentosa desconocida o riesgo de convulsiones, excepto en pacientes de los que se tenga certeza que se trata de intoxicación aislada por benzodiacepinas y no presenten dependencia a estas

Se recomienda no realizar un lavado gástrico en pacientes pediátricos con sospecha de intoxicación. La única situación en la que puede estar indicado es la ingestión reciente (<1 hora) y potencialmente letal, de gran cantidad de tóxico, en un paciente consciente o intubado
