Para promover la elaboración y uso de las Guías de Práctica Clínica (GPC) con una metodología común y consensuada para el Sistema Nacional de Salud (SNS), GuíaSalud ha realizado diversos manuales metodológicos.
Cada manual ha sido elaborado por un grupo de trabajo constituido por profesionales del SNS con formación y experiencias en el desarrollo de GPC. Los aspectos metodológicos relacionados con el desarrollo de Guías de Práctica Clínica abarcan procesos claramente diferenciados: La elaboración de la GPC, la actualización, la implementación así como la implicación de pacientes en su desarrollo.
En este apartado se incluyen además una selección de otras herramientas y manuales que pueden ser de utilidad en estos procesos.
FLC 3.0 es una aplicación web diseñada para apoyar el desarrollo de revisiones sistemáticas de la evidencia científica proporcionando un apoyo a la evaluación de la calidad de los estudios científicos y a la síntesis de la evidencia. Las Fichas de Lectura Crítica (FLC 3.0) se han desarrollado por Osteba, Servicio de Evaluación de Tecnologías Sanitarias del Departamento de Salud del Gobierno Vasco.
GRADEpro GDT is an web solution for summarizing and presenting information for health care decision making. GRADEpro guides through the process of guideline development while it adheres to the GRADE methodology. To help in dissemination and support shared decision-making audience-specific presentations and interactive decision aids can be created for all final recommendations.
The GRADE-CERQual approach provides a method for assessing the confidence of evidence from reviews of qualitative research, and indicating this confidence to end users, such as guideline panels or decision makers. CERQual uses a similar approach conceptually to other GRADE tools, but is intended for findings from systematic reviews of qualitative evidence.
Summary of Findings (SoF) are tables that provide an estimate of the size of the effect of an intervention on each of the most important outcomes of interest and an assessment of the certainty of the evidence for each of those estimates. SoF tables are based on systematic reviews. The objective of interactive SoF (iSoF) tables is to improve understanding and use of evidence of the effects of healthcare interventions.
iEtD is an interactive tool to create and use frameworks to support communication in decision making.The iEtD tool provides functionality for preparing frameworks, using them in group discussions, and publishing output for implementation or adaption. The iEtD tool facilitates use of EtD frameworks by guideline developers, health technology assessment agencies, policymakers and managers.
The Appraisal of Guidelines for Research & Evaluation Instrument (AGREE II) was developed to address the issue of variability in the quality of practice guidelines and this was initiated with the development of the original AGREE Instrument. AGREE II assesses the methodological rigour and transparency in which a practice guideline is developed and can be used to guide their development.
The Guideline Development Checklist project is a partnership between the Guidelines International Network (GIN) and McMaster University. The checklist is intended for use by guideline developers to plan and track the process of guideline development and to help ensure that no key steps are missed. Following steps outlined in the checklist will ensure that key items are covered and increase the likelihood of the guideline achieving higher scores when evaluated with credibility assessment tools.
